About

Welcome and thank you for your interest in the University of Kentucky PA Academic Residency Program based in Lexington, KY. Our program is PA led and offers a unique approach by partnering with hospitals across the state. We believe in being education centered and using our partnerships to create opportunities that build the next generation of PA leaders through specialized clinical training, teaching, research, and mentoring.

The University of Kentucky is offering PA residency positions in multiple specialties. The University of Kentucky is seeking motivated and aspiring Physician Assistants (PAs) to join our prestigious Academic Residency Program. This residency program offers a comprehensive and immersive 12-month experience designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of graduates from accredited Physician Assistant programs. As a resident, you will have the opportunity to train alongside experts in their field and be mentored by experienced PA faculty members, furthering your clinical competence and preparing you for a successful career. In addition to clinical work, you will also have opportunities to teach and conduct research. Our Academic Residency Program is a PA lead program that offers a unique approach by partnering with external sites outside of the University of Kentucky to build a bridge across the medical field and advocate for the PAs in our program and across the state.
