About

Our program is 12 months and will consist of supervised direct adult and pediatric patient care in the emergency department, as well as opportunities to work with other specialties. The program will offer a weekly lecture series in conjunction with the EM Physician Residency as well as various educational opportunities including ultrasound training, procedural simulation workshops, and attendance to the National SEMPA Conference. Postgrad trainees will obtain certification in ATLS and FCCS. 


In 2025, we added a Pediatric EM Postgraduate Training Program for Advanced Practice Providers. This is a 12 month training program consisting of supervised pediatric patient care as well as off service rotations. The program offers PEM specific lectures, ultrasound training, procedure training, simulation workshops, as well as attendance to the ACEP Pediatric Assembly. PEM Postgraduate Trainees will obtain certification in PALS and Pediatric FCCS. 


A yearly salary with extensive benefits package will be provided. Applications are posted to the UK Jobs website each year in January - February. Each class starts in October and will graduate in September of the following year.
